Working on Sky's Crack more lately. But I've given up on writing it sequentially. Scenes keep coming to me out of chronological order. This means that you likely won't see me resuming serializing it until I've written the whole thing then and then edited it (for ordering among other things), when I'll serialize the second draft from the very beginning.

Publicly available transcripts, anyone?

Since I tend to struggle with dialogue, I've decided to try reading up on it. Some of the stuff I've seen suggested listening to how people actually speak (at least one page about it in fact recommended writing transcripts of a crowd speaking, or at the very least talk shows). Since I can't really hear, and closed captions're often of questionable quality, I got the idea to ask around about where I could find high-quality, public transcripts, especially one with a variety of speech styles. I want to study up on this stuff as everything I learned about English, I only learned from reading due to my deafness.

[info]circuit_four, given the work you do, it seems like you'd have an especially good idea of what qualifies as a good transcript.
